Across our lifetime, we are likely to experience at least one heartbreak. We may experience a heartbreak that consumes our mind. Clearing the mind and replacing the repetitive ‘heartbreak’ cycle with positive thoughts, can be incredibly challenging. There are a few suggestions to help overcome this challenge. A clear mind leads to a bright path.
Here are some top tips on how to deal with heartbreak
Keeping yourself busy and preoccupied are great ways to focus your mind on something else. Occupy yourself with something you enjoy, whether it be baking, painting, reading or even cleaning. The best way to keep your mind distracted is by surrounding yourself with friends and family. They can entertain you, lift your spirits and hold you when you shed that tear. You do not have to suffer by yourself, your loved ones have your back!
Remember not to punish yourself! Your mind can become clouded with negative thoughts about yourself, questioning your personality and looks. “If I were kinder, we would still be together” and “If I were prettier, we would still be together”. Turn those negatives into positives. Write a list of all of the things you love about yourself. Invest in a gratitude journal, remind yourself that you are amazing and that there are things you are grateful for!
